COMMUNITY-BASED INITIATIVES
Drop
out Prevention
In continuing with a focus on Eliminating Poverty and
Healthy Families; our objective is to decrease the number
of students who drop out of junior and senior high schools
every year. Students will learn how to link school education
with everyday responsibilities and career opportunities.
Strengthened
to Work
In continuing with a focus on Eliminating Poverty and
Financial Stability; our objective is to prepare residents
for a workplace environment. Participants will achieve
skills necessary to find, obtain, and keep a job.
Community
Scholars
In continuing with a focus on Community Building; our
objective is to engage residents East of the River to
participate in improvement projects, learn about the
history of Wards 7 & 8, and create social change
through serving their community.
